Dr Thunder

Dr Thunder is a brand of cola produced for Wal-Mart stores (and Asda stores in the UK). It is canned by Cott at facilities located throughout North America. In 2009, Wal-Mart notified Cott that it would no longer be the exclusive supplier of store-brand sodas for Wal-Mart stores.

History

Dr Thunder was originally called "Southern Lightning," but the name was changed to reflect its mild similarities to Dr Pepper. The label of Dr Thunder has recently been redesigned to say that "You've never been deep, until you've been Dr Thunder deep."
